The 20th Annual VeritageMiami set for April 15 – 18, 2015

City National Bank signs on as presenting sponsor; Allen Morris to chair the four-day celebration

Presented by City National Bank, the 20th annual VeritageMiami will attract more than 3,500 wine and food lovers to four days of world-class culinary indulgence at Wynwood Walls, Village of Merrick Park, InterContinental Miami and Marlins Park,
April 15 – 18, 2015. All proceeds benefit United Way of Miami-Dade’s work in education, financial stability and health. VeritageMiami tickets are now on sale at www.veritagemiami.com.

Allen Morris of The Allen Morris Company is this year’s VeritageMiami chair, dubbed the Marquis du Vin, alongside his wife, June Morris, the Marquessa du Vin. “Last year, we had our celebrity chefs dancing on tables, Tony and Emmy award-winning star Kristin Chenoweth singing her heart out on second base and attendees having the time of their lives,” said Mr. Morris. “And now, we are planning even bigger and better surprises for the 2015 VeritageMiami.”

To kick things off, Sunday, January 25 thru Monday January 26, some of South Florida’s premiere sommeliers and wine directors will participate in the Best in Glass Wine Challenge. The comprehensive, blind and rigorous wine competition will take place at Johnson & Wales University’s beverage lab. Gold and silver medal-winning wines will be showcased during VeritageMiami.

The four day culinary celebration begins with the Craft Beer Tasting on Wednesday, April 15, at Wynwood Walls. Set amidst world-renowned outdoor murals, the vibrant crowd will gather to sample favorites from local restaurants, paired with 100 craft beers and micro-brews at dozens of tasting stations.

On Thursday, April 16, at Village of Merrick Park, the celebration continues with the walk-around Fine Wine Tasting, where more than 65 wine producers and importers will line San Lorenzo Avenue, displaying a collection of 300 wines from around the world, alongside Miami’s most celebrated restaurants and caterers.

On Friday, April 17, the ultimate good time for foodies, Interactive Dinner, will take place at the Intercontinental Miami. More than 600 energetic guests bravely sport cooking aprons and toques as they prepare a three-course meal, under the direction of top celebrity chefs and with the help of hundreds of talented Johnson & Wales University students serving as sous chefs.

On Saturday, April 18, VeritageMiami will culminate with an Auction and Wine Dinner at Marlins Park. The evening begins with a cocktail hour overlooking the downtown Miami skyline, followed by a dinner and a fabulous live auction on the diamond. Award-winning wines from the Best in Glass Wine Challenge will be poured, and amazing entertainment is expected.
