VERITAGEMIAMI Announces 2014 Dates and Venues

MIAMI (January 3, 2014) – Blend your love of fine wine and food with a passion for helping to make Miami a better place at the 19th annual VERITAGEMIAMI on April 9 – 12, 2014. For almost two decades, VERITAGEMIAMI, formerly the United Way Miami Wine & Food Festival, has brought its world-class four-day celebration to our community, in support of United Way of Miami-Dade’s work in education, health and financial stability.

The 2014 VERITAGEMIAMI lineup includes a craft beer tasting on Wednesday, April 9, at Wynwood Walls – set amidst world-renowned outdoor murals, the vibrant Wynwood crowd will gather to sample favorites from local restaurants, paired with 100 craft beers and micro-brews at dozens of tasting stations.

On Thursday, April 10, at Village of Merrick Park, the celebration continues with a walk-around wine tasting; more than 65 wine producers and importers will line San Lorenzo Avenue, displaying a collection of 300 wines from around the world, alongside Miami’s most celebrated restaurants and caterers.

On Friday, April 11, the popular Interactive Dinner will take place at the newly renovated InterContinental Miami. The ambiance is lively at this one-of-a-kind dinner, the ultimate good time for foodies. An energetic crowd of more than 600 guests bravely sport cooking aprons and toques as they prepare three-course meals, under the direction of a top celebrity chef and the help of hundreds of talented Johnson & Wales University students serving as sous chefs.

On Saturday, April 12, VERITAGEMIAMI will culminate with an Auction and Wine Dinner, at one of the festival’s most unique outdoor venues to date – Marlins Park. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour overlooking the downtown Miami skyline, followed by a dinner and a fabulous live auction on the diamond. Award-winning wines crowned by more than 30 of Miami’s most famed sommeliers during the Best in Glass Wine Challenge will be poured.

Since its inception, VERITAGEMIAMI has raised more than $12 million for the community. All proceeds support United Way’s work in education, financial stability and health.
