MIAMI (June 7, 2022) – VeritageMiami’s iconic event series brought together more than 1,500 local Miami food and drink enthusiasts and raised over $820,000 to benefit United Way Miami’s work in education, financial stability and health to build a better and stronger Miami. The series was presented by CityNational Bank and chaired by Susan Potter Norton and Frank Gonzalez. Guests enjoyed a series of culinary-focused events including the Craft Beer Tasting at Wynwood Walls and signature Interactive Dinner led by an all-star lineup of three past VeritageMiami participating chefs.
This year’s VeritageMiami series kicked off with the fan-favorite Craft Beer Tasting event at Wynwood Walls. Over 550 attendees sipped brews from some of Miami’s leading breweries paired with bites from popular local restaurants, including Unbranded Brewing Co., Cerveceria La Tropical, The Tank Brewing Company, Tripping Animals Brewing, Unbranded Smokehouse, We Shuckin’ Southern Eatery, Mr. Baguette, Bolivar Restaurant Bar Lounge, Old Lisbon and many more.
The signature Interactive Dinner wrapped up this year’s VeritageMiami series. The dinner, which took place at the Intercontinental Miami Hotel, featured an all-star returning lineup of chefs including Eileen Andrade of the beloved Finka Table and Tap, Amelia’s 1931 and Barbakoa by Finka; Chopped champion, Giorgio Rapicavoli of Luca Osteria and the highly anticipated Eating House; and Paula DaSilva of Burlock Coast and the Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale. Nearly 600 guests experienced a fabulous night interacting with friends, tasting delicious wines and under the chefs’ directions, preparing a gourmet meal consisting of Shirmp with Spring Fennel Pesto, Pasta con Limone and Korean BBQ-Style Steak with Kimchee Lime Broccolini. Between courses, guests bid on exciting live auction lots, which included private dining experiences, vacation packages and lavish wine packages, among others. A silent auction also took place before and during the event.
