Most of the loyal patrons and supporters of VeritageMiami see the event as a once a year occurrence, with the craft beer tasting, the wine tasting, the interactive dinner and the auction dinner bundled together in a great April celebration of wine and food. In fact, VeritageMiami is active year-round, including January’s intensive wine competition called Best in Glass.

You’ll see the results of the sommelier-judged Best in Glass when many South Florida restaurants begin featuring gold medal-winning wines during “Best in Glass Month,” the month leading up to the first night of VeritageMiami (Best in Glass Month runs March 12 to April 15). However, I’m so excited about the great wines chosen through the hard work of our diligent sommelier-judges that I’m going to share the results with you ahead of VeritageMiami.
How? Well, you can download the complete list of wines that won gold and silver medals (see my last blog post to learn just how much I like many of the silver medal wines).
And, you can read a bit about each of the gold medal wines by visiting the VeritageMiami Facebook page every day. Each morning I’ll post a visual slurp of one of the gold medal wines – I’ll share a quick story about it and a thought about what food to have with it and an image or two. Stop by every day for an updated view, and a thought about a wine that would fit well on your dinner table that evening. And of course, because our sommelier-judges were taking value heavily into account, every one of the gold medal winners comes at a reasonable price, usually under (and often quite a bit under) $25 at your local wine store.
I’ll see you on Facebook and of course every week here on the VeritageMiami blog.
